01Start with the charger, because there isn't one
No Galaxy S26 model comes with a power adapter, and the right one depends on which model you bought. Samsung's fast charging needs a USB-C charger that supports USB PD with PPS. Without PPS the phone still charges, just at a slower standard rate.

02Magnets: decide before you pick a case
Galaxy phones don't have magnets in the back. The S25 and S26 lines are built for Qi2 magnetic charging, but the magnet ring has to come from the case. No magnetic case, and snap-on chargers, car mounts, wallets and grips will slide straight off.

04Screen, camera and the rest
- Screen protector: buy one cut for your exact model. Galaxy S phones use an under-display fingerprint reader, so pick one listed as fingerprint-compatible and re-register your finger after fitting it. See fingerprint not working with a screen protector.
- Camera lenses: a case with a raised camera ring usually covers it. Add lens protectors only if your case is very thin.
- Spare cable: the one in the box is fine. A second for the car or bag is handy; see our cables.
- Wireless charger: any 15W Qi pad works without magnets. With a magnetic case, a Qi2 stand is neater.

05Car, desk and nightstand setups
Once the essentials are done, think about where the phone sits during the day. Each spot has one accessory that makes it easier.

06Bought a Fold or Flip instead?

Does a new Samsung phone come with a charger?
No. Galaxy S26 models ship with a USB-C cable but no power adapter. Buy a USB-C charger that supports USB PD with PPS, rated for your model's top speed: 25W for the S26, 45W for the S26+ and 60W for the S26 Ultra.
Do Samsung phones work with MagSafe accessories?
Only with a magnetic case. Galaxy phones have no magnets built in. The S25 and S26 support Qi2, so a magnetic case lets magnetic chargers, wallets, mounts and grips attach properly.
Can I use a higher-watt charger on my Galaxy?
Yes. The phone only draws what it supports, so a 65W charger on an S26 still delivers about 25W. Make sure it supports PPS for Samsung's fast charging.
Do I need a screen protector on a Galaxy S26?
We'd fit one. Glass protectors take scratches and cracks so the display doesn't. Choose one made for your model that works with the under-display fingerprint reader.
Is a 45W charger worth it for a Galaxy S26?
Not for speed: the base S26 tops out at 25W. A 45W charger makes sense if you'll share it with an S26+, S26 Ultra, tablet or laptop.
