01Will an S24 case fit the S25? The numbers
A Galaxy S24 case will physically go onto a Galaxy S25, and an S24+ case onto an S25+, because the outer size barely changed. It won't be a perfect fit: the newer phones are 0.4 mm thinner and the camera rings look different. The Ultra is the exception. An S24 Ultra case does not fit the S25 Ultra.
Samsung kept the S25 and S25+ very close to last year's footprint. Height and width moved by about a tenth of a millimeter, which no case will notice. Thickness is the real change. A case molded around a 7.6 mm S24 will hold a 7.2 mm S25 with a little play, especially at the screen lip and around the buttons.

02Check your exact pair
Pick the phone you own and the phone the case was made for. Mixing sizes (an S24+ case on an S25, say) never works, so the checker only gives a pass for same-tier pairs.

03What changed between the S24 and S25
From the front, the S24 and S25 look nearly identical. The differences that matter to a case are all about the frame and the back.
- Thinner bodies. The S25 and S25+ each lost 0.4 mm of thickness. That's what creates the loose feeling inside an old case.
- New camera rings. The three rear lenses got restyled rings on the S25. A case with one big camera window doesn't care. A case with three individual lens holes may sit slightly off around them.
- Softer edges. The S25's frame edges are more rounded, so the corners of an S24 case won't hug as tightly.
- The Ultra got a new shape. The S25 Ultra traded the S24 Ultra's sharp corners for rounder ones and slimmed down to 77.6 mm wide and 8.2 mm deep. Different corners mean a different mold, full stop.
A case that slides around lets the phone hit the inside walls on impact, and a gap at the screen lip lets the glass touch the ground first on a face-down fall. If your S24 case moves when you squeeze the corners, treat it as temporary.
04Keep the old case, or replace it?
+Reuse your S24 case if
- It's a soft TPU or silicone case that still grips the S25 snugly
- It has one large camera window rather than three small holes
- You only need it until a new case arrives
- The buttons still press with a clear click
–Buy an S25 case if
- You have an S25 Ultra (the S24 Ultra case won't fit)
- The phone shifts when you press on the corners
- The screen lip doesn't rise above the glass anymore
- You want magnetic chargers or grips to snap on properly
That last point catches people out. The S25 series is Qi2 Ready, which means the magnets for magnetic charging live in the case, not the phone. An old non-magnetic S24 case gives you nothing to snap to. A magnetic S25 case fixes that. Our guide to whether Samsung has MagSafe explains how it works.

Are Galaxy S24 and S25 cases interchangeable?
Partly. S24 cases go onto the S25, and S24+ cases onto the S25+, because height and width are nearly identical. The newer phones are 0.4 mm thinner, so the fit is looser. S24 Ultra and S25 Ultra cases are not interchangeable.
Will an S24 Ultra case fit the S25 Ultra?
No. The S25 Ultra is 77.6 mm wide versus 79.0 mm, 0.4 mm thinner, and has rounded corners where the S24 Ultra had sharp ones. An S24 Ultra case will be loose and won't sit flush at the corners.
Will an S25 case fit an S24?
Sometimes. The S24 is 0.4 mm thicker than the S25, so a soft TPU or silicone S25 case often stretches over it. A hard-shell case may be too tight to clip on.
Will an S24+ case fit the Galaxy S25 Edge?
No. The S25 Edge is about the same height and width as the S24+, but it's only 5.8 mm thick versus 7.7 mm and has two rear cameras instead of three. An S24+ case would be very loose and the camera cutout won't match.
Does the Galaxy S25 have magnets for MagSafe-style accessories?
No. The S25 series is Qi2 Ready, meaning the magnets come from a compatible magnetic case. Without one, magnetic chargers, wallets and grips won't hold on.
